| MAN ARRESTED IN ORANGE COUNTY DOMESTIC ASSAULT |
A 29-year-old Mission Viejo man was arrested and charged with spousal abuse involving force likely to cause great bodily injury in connection with the alleged assault of his longtime girlfriend.
The man was apprehended after police enlisted the help of his cell phone carrier to track his whereabouts. According to a sergeant with the Orange County Sheriff''s Department, privacy laws restrict the use of this investigative tactic unless a search warrant is obtained or, as in this case, the suspect is deemed a "clear and present danger".
The man is currently out of custody on bail and awaiting arraignment in the Orange County Superior Court. |
